When I got my grandfather’s camera a few years ago and an injury kept me away from dancing, I started taking pictures in ballet class. Slowly I got more and more into dance photography, upgraded my camera gear and improved my work by trial and error and by observing the work of other photographers.
In my pictures, I try to tell the story of dancers: to capture their emotions, their work and effort behind the glamour on stage, the hours spend in the studio searching for perfection, the endless - but so valuable - corrections given by their teachers and the beauty of this art form.
